An art nouveau rose
Inspired by her Scottish ancestry and the art nouveau movement, our client commissioned a Mackintosh Rose ring. With the look of stained glass, the Mackintosh Rose is more graphic than organic in style with strong lines and an asymmetrical composition.
Working with our client’s 0.65-carat diamond as the centerpiece, we designed an oversized ring of platinum with 95 tiny diamonds encircling the centre of the rose and vining up the gallery, like clusters of leaves. Intricate and complex in its design, the convex and concave walls of the gallery required expert calculation to reach perfection.
The client’s only change after its unveiling: more diamonds, for a grand total of 138!
